How it works

expired.st follows domain names through the end of their life cycle — from expiration to deletion — so you can find good names the moment they become available again.

Domain life cycle

Registered Expiring soon
The domain is registered and its expiration date is near. Most owners renew; some let the domain go.
Expired
The expiration date has passed. During the grace period the owner can still renew the domain, usually at the normal price.
Pending delete
The registry is about to delete the domain. It can no longer be renewed by the owner. We show the expected drop date, calculated from the registry rules for each extension.
Available Just dropped
The registry deleted the domain and it can be registered again by anyone — first come, first served.

Where the data comes from

We track tens of thousands of domains under country-code and generic extensions. Each domain is checked against the registry's WHOIS on a schedule that follows its expected life cycle: more often around the expected drop date, less often for domains that were renewed.

Because checks are periodic, a domain shown as available may already have been registered by someone else, and a domain may drop a little earlier or later than expected. Always confirm availability at the registrar before you rely on it.

Registering a domain

The Register button opens the registrar's checkout with the domain filled in. Prices shown are the registrar's first-year price and may change.
